Zone of Theoretical Visibility (ZTV/ZVI)
Zone of Theoretical Visibility (ZTV/ZVI) analysis capabilities by our in-house GIS team has served numerous renewable energy (i.e. wind, solar and energy storage) and telecommunications developments for identifying the theoretical visibility of a proposed development and for choosing viewpoint locations for photomontages to help assess the proposed development’s visual impacts as part of our Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments.
The combination of our GIS constraints mapping together with ZTV/ZVI analysis allows Planning Authorities, Public Bodies and other stakeholders to assess the development’s visual influence on various designations (i.e. heritage, landscape, ecology, residential amenity). We can provide ZTV's with and without vegetation which can demonstrate a considerable reduction in a proposal's theoretical visibility as the 2 images here show for the same proposal.
