Photomontages & Wireframes

Entrust has produced photomontages for hundreds of infrastructure developments and is one of the leading producers of them across Great Britain and Ireland.

A photomontages is visual representation of what a development proposal will look like once its built from a specific location and is a very important tool for Planning Authorities and other Public Bodies to assess the predicted visual impacts of a proposal at the planning stage, be it a renewable energy development, electricity grid infrastructure or a wireless telecoms mast.

The sophisticated process we have developed is to first produce a planning designations map to identify any sensitive visual receptors in a zone of visual influence, then overlay it with a ZTV and then choose a number of viewpoint locations to take photographs from, often in agreement with Planning and Landscape Officers. Finally we produce the photomontages derived from a 3D model which we generate from 2D AutoCAD drawings.

Wireframes are used to accompany the photomontages which we produce using bare earth topographical data and is helpful in demonstrating to Planning Authorities the full extent of visibility of a proposal without built form and vegetation as shown here for a proposed telecommunications mast.
